We found all channels without any issues. The DVB-C scan is very fast if you enable network scan. Picture quality is good and there is good driver support in the Egami Image for various usb devices wlan or usb tuners. Also this receiver does not support HD PiP. Here we could reproduce crashes if we did a swap services. Where we did have some issues was using the Picture in Picture mode. The menus and zapping seem pretty fast and in general the receiver feels stable. It utilizes external binaries on some blindscan-capable tuners, provided these are present in the firmware either directly from the tuner manufacturers, either from the receiver manufacturers and in that case they are closed sourced and encrypted to work on that receiver only!Įven though the scan results, especially with Silicon tuners are quite satisfactory, this approach is based on incomplete coding. Guys this is a very GENERIC blindscan function screen, based on the blindscan plugin, modified to be integrated into the OpenATV system.
